Happy family with mother and disabled son spending time together at home.

SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION
We work in conjunction with relevant professionals to include opportunities for children and young people to develop the skills they need to recognise and stay safe from abuse, contributing to the five Every Child Matters Outcomes: –

  • Be healthy
  • Stay safe
  • Enjoy and achieve
  • Make a positive contribution
  • Achieve economic well-being

We work to establish and maintain an environment where children and young people feel secure, are encouraged to talk, and are listened to when they have a worry or concern.

We work to establish and maintain an environment where staff feel safe, are encouraged to talk and are listened to when they have concerns about the safety and wellbeing of a child or young person, ensure children and young people know that there are adults whom they can approach if they are worried and that children and young people who have been abused will be supported in line with a child protection plan where necessary.
